Brian Thompson is the founder of Thompson Law Firm and is a personal injury and worker's compensation attorney. Mr. Thompson earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and earned student-athlete honors. He earned his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He graduated cum laude and was a competitor on the NSU Trial Team. In his last year of law school, he won the annual Nova Southeastern University Upperclassmen Mock Trial Tournament.
Mr. Thompson is frequently asked—what made you want to become a lawyer? “Growing up I saw a lot of people that had an important story that they just couldn’t put into words. They needed a voice. I saw many people taken advantage of. They needed someone to stand up and fight for them. I have always wanted to be that voice and I love fighting for those that need help the most. That is why I became a lawyer.”Mr. Thompson has extensive experience settling claims and has won millions of dollars for his clients over the years. He also has experience fighting cases in trial, all the way to jury verdict, in both North Carolina and South Carolina (Superior Court, District Court, and Court of Common Pleas).
Mr. Thompson is licensed in state court and federal both in North Carolina and South Carolina. He is a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice (NCAJ) and South Carolina Advocates for Justice (SCAJ). When Mr. Thompson is not practicing law, he enjoys being active in the community. He spends his free time attending his local church and coaching youth football and youth wrestling.

Through her strategic negotiation and advocacy, Tierra has successfully helped resolve cases totaling more than $300,000 in settlements. Tierra aggressively litigates her cases and understands the importance of advocating for the voiceless. Before focusing on personal injury litigation, Tierra served as a Staff Attorney with the State Employees’ Credit Union, where she handled foreclosure litigation, tenant law matters, and court proceedings across multiple counties throughout North Carolina. This experience strengthened her courtroom advocacy, legal research, and litigation skills.Tierra earned her Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law, where she graduated in the top 12% of her class. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, graduating magna cum laude and summa cum laude in her respective majors.
Tierra is admitted to practice law in North Carolina and is passionate about advocating for individuals who have been injured due to the negligence of others. She is known for her strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and dedication to achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients. Tierra is a member of the Mecklenburg County Bar Association. Outside of her legal practice, Tierra remains active in professional and community organizations and has received several academic honors and scholarships recognizing her leadership and commitment to the legal profession.
